FOCUS

Kevin Clancy has over 10 years of experience representing clients in a variety of complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. He has represented publicly traded corporations, privately-held companies as well as individuals in cases involving breach of fiduciary duty, contract disputes, business torts, consumer and common law fraud, professional negligence, shareholder disputes, restrictive covenants, breach of stock or asset purchase agreement, and RICO. He also has significant experience defending consumer class actions, including preparing an amicus curiae brief to the Illinois Supreme Court challenging the applicability of the Illinois Consumer Fraud Act to putative nationwide class action cases. Consistent with that brief, the Court then issued an opinion significantly restricting the use of that Act in such cases.
