FOCUS
Jerry Clousson has a varied and extensive experience in
dispute resolution, primarily commercial and labor arbitration,
state and federal agency hearings and federal court litigation.
He is Past President and a current Director of the Chicago
Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
Mr. Clousson encourages dispute resolution through mediation
and negotiation. He served as Director of Negotiations for
the American Medical Association for five (5) years and
now represents physician groups and organizations throughout
the country in negotiations with insurors, managed care
organizations, employers and government, over all contract
issues, including liability, indemnification, compensation,
termination, continuation of services, and utilization management.
He represents individual physicians and medical practices in contract,
regulatory and credentialing matters as well as hospital medical staffs
in bylaw and peer review activities.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Mr. Clousson has organized and serves as corporate counsel
for numerous business, nonstock, nonprofit and limited liability
companies in the health care and other industries throughout
the country. As such, he handles the full range of corporate
legal issues, including antitrust, federal tax, fraud and
abuse, labor and employment, intellectual property and ERISA,
and state and federal regulations.
EDUCATION
Mr. Clousson received both a B.A. and a J.D., from West Virginia University, Morgantown,
West Virginia. He also holds a L.L.M., in employment and labor law from Georgetown University,
Washington, D.C.
