FOCUS
Simon J. Hill has over thirteen years of litigation experience and concentrates his practice in the areas of
commercial litigation and securities litigation. In the course of his commercial litigation practice, Mr. Hill
has represented clients ranging from individuals to large, publicly traded companies in a wide variety of
business disputes, including breach of contract, trade secret violations, shareholder and partnership disputes
and dissolutions. Within the context of these cases, Mr. Hill has significant trial experience, including jury
and bench trials as the “first chair” attorney.
In the course of his securities litigation practice, Mr. Hill has prosecuted and defended numerous claims
involving fraud, misrepresentation and violations of federal and state securities laws. A number of these
cases have been conducted before the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), New York Stock Exchange
(NYSE) and American Arbitration Association (AAA).
Prior to joining Lowis & Gellen, Mr. Hill was a partner with the law firm of Hertz Schram PC in Bloomfield Hills,
Michigan where he also practiced in the areas of commercial and securities litigation. He is licensed to practice
in both Michigan and Illinois.
EDUCATION
Mr. Hill earned his law degree in 1994 from Chicago-Kent College of Law and undergraduate degree in 1990 from Washington University in St. Louis.
