History

Lowis & Gellen began in 1994 with founders Jennifer Lowis, Pam Gellen, Bob Smith and two associates working out of a small law office on Wacker Drive. Though the firm's primary focus, at its inception, was medical malpractice defense, the practice has grown over the years to include an extensive and sophisticated commercial litigation and transactional practice.

The firm now includes nearly 50 exceptionally talented and experienced attorneys, roughly half of whom continue to grow the firm's medical malpractice defense work, while the other half represent corporate and individual clients in all matters of commercial litigation and corporate transactions. In all the work we do, our experience and dedication get results.
